Kate Spade New York seeks a Sales Associate to serve as a trusted style advisor at its Cheshire Oaks Outlet location. The role combines customer engagement with styling expertise, guiding guests in selecting products that align with their personal aesthetic while driving sales through compelling storytelling and product knowledge. The Associate will maintain operational excellence, manage POS transactions, and create seamless checkout experiences whilst working flexible retail schedules including evenings, weekends, and seasonal peaks.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Greet customers warmly whilst demonstrating exceptional product knowledge across handbags, ready-to-wear, jewelry, footwear, and home décor
  • Actively listen to customer needs and provide personalised styling advice, suggesting complementary pieces and complete outfit solutions
  • Showcase creative ways to incorporate Kate Spade products into customers' existing wardrobes, encouraging exploration of new styles
  • Execute professional sales techniques whilst maintaining authentic customer connections through engaging storytelling
  • Guide customers through purchase decisions and ensure seamless POS transactions and checkout experiences
  • Maintain operational excellence including stockroom organisation and merchandise presentation
  • Develop and deepen customer relationships, reinforcing choices and inviting return visits
  • Multitask effectively in a collaborative team environment whilst prioritising customer engagement during high-traffic periods
  • Demonstrate awareness of social media trends and a willingness to learn omnichannel and virtual selling techniques

Qualifications

  • Prior retail sales experience with demonstrated success in customer-facing roles
  • Professional selling skills with exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities
  • Strong product knowledge or ability to rapidly master brand heritage, design philosophy, and product attributes
  • Ability to multitask, prioritise, and adapt in a dynamic retail environment
  • Proficiency in English language
  • Availability to work flexible retail schedules, including evenings, weekends, public holidays, and seasonal peaks
