Kate Spade New York seeks a part-time Sales Associate in Torrance, CA (Del Amo Fashion Center) to deliver styling-led customer experiences.
Role & Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and establish rapport; actively listen to understand customer needs and personal style.
- Provide styling-led advice to assemble complete looks, suggest add-ons and demonstrate multiple ways to wear products.
- Drive sales through storytelling and personalised recommendations while meeting individual and store targets.
- Execute point-of-sale transactions accurately and maintain operational excellence, including stockroom organization and visual presentation.
- Support omni-channel selling and virtual client interactions when required; demonstrate social media awareness to engage customers.
- Reinforce positive customer decisions and cultivate return visits through exceptional service and follow-up.
- Maintain a flexible schedule to cover nights, weekends, holidays and peak retail periods; perform routine physical tasks including lifting and stock handling.
Qualifications
- Professional selling skills with exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Prior retail experience; luxury or premium retail experience preferred.
- Ability to multitask, prioritise and collaborate effectively within a team.
- Proficiency in English (local language proficiency as applicable) and comfort with omni-channel/virtual selling techniques.
- Ability to lift at least 25 lbs regularly (up to 50 lbs occasionally), climb, bend, kneel and manoeuvre the sales floor and stockroom.

Experience
Prior experience in a retail environment is required; experience within premium or luxury retail and familiarity with omni-channel selling are advantageous.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required; retail sales certifications or college coursework in fashion, merchandising or a related field preferred.

The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 15 to USD 24.25 per hour.
