Kate Spade (Carolina Premium Outlets, Smithfield NC) seeks a part-time Sales Associate to deliver styling-led customer service and drive sales.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Welcome and engage customers with warmth and confident product knowledge; assess needs through active listening and probing questions.
  • Provide personalised styling advice, assemble complete looks and suggest complementary items to increase basket size.
  • Demonstrate multiple ways to wear and combine products to inspire customers and drive discovery of new styles.
  • Execute point-of-sale transactions and ensure a seamless checkout experience.
  • Maintain operational excellence: organise the sales floor and stockroom, manage inventory flow and visual presentation.
  • Adopt omni-channel selling techniques, including virtual selling and social media engagement, to convert and retain clients.
  • Reinforce customer decisions, invite repeat visits and contribute to a positive store atmosphere.
  • Perform regular physical tasks required by the role, including lifting up to 25 lbs regularly (occasional lifts up to 50 lbs), bending, kneeling and stockroom manoeuvres.

Qualifications

  • Proven professional selling skills with strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Prior retail experience in a customer-facing environment; fashion or lifestyle retail preferred.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritise, and collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Willingness to learn and apply omni-channel and virtual selling techniques.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, peak seasons and public holidays.

Experience
