Kate Spade New York seeks a part-time Sales Associate in San Diego (Fashion Valley) to deliver styling-led customer service and drive boutique sales.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Welcome guests warmly and build rapport to understand individual style and needs.
  • Provide personalised styling advice and create complete looks across handbags, ready-to-wear, footwear, jewelry and accessories.
  • Drive sales through storytelling, suggest add-ons and close transactions with a seamless checkout experience.
  • Demonstrate authoritative product knowledge across all brand categories and communicate brand DNA to customers.
  • Utilise omni-channel and virtual selling techniques, incorporating social media where appropriate to engage clients.
  • Maintain operational excellence including POS transactions, stockroom organisation, merchandising and inventory replenishment.
  • Give and receive feedback constructively and support a collaborative team environment.
  • Perform physical tasks on the sales floor and in the stockroom; routinely lift up to 25 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

  • Proven professional selling skills and exceptional interpersonal communication.
  • Prior retail sales experience; experience within a lifestyle or luxury brand is preferred.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritise and collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Flexible availability including nights, weekends, peak retail periods and public holidays.
  • English proficiency (or local language proficiency as applicable) and social media awareness.

Experience

Prior retail sales experience is required; experience working with lifestyle or premium brands and demonstrating a track record of driving sales through client relationships is preferred.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
