Kate Spade New York seeks a Temporary Sales Associate in Ontario, California to provide expert styling and drive sales through personalized customer engagement.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Greet guests warmly and confidently while demonstrating comprehensive product knowledge across all Kate Spade categories
  • Actively listen and ask insightful follow-up questions to understand customer needs and aesthetic preferences
  • Provide styling advice and suggest complementary products to create complete looks and encourage customer exploration
  • Guide customers through purchase decisions and ensure a seamless checkout experience using point-of-sale systems
  • Maintain operational excellence including stockroom organization, inventory management, and proper merchandising
  • Reinforce and celebrate customer choices while inviting repeat visits and building brand loyalty
  • Demonstrate knowledge of omnichannel and virtual selling techniques and social media awareness
  • Lift and maneuver merchandise regularly (up to 25 lbs.; occasionally up to 50 lbs.) and navigate sales floor and stockroom by climbing, bending, and kneeling as needed

Qualifications

  • Professional selling skills with exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities
  • Prior experience in a retail environment
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work collaboratively in a team setting
  • Social media awareness and willingness to learn omnichannel and virtual selling techniques
  • English proficiency or local language proficiency as required by market
  • Ability to lift at least 25 lbs. regularly (up to 50 lbs. occasionally) and navigate sales floor and stockroom
  • Flexibility to work varied schedules including nights, weekends, holidays, and high-traffic retail periods

Experience

Compensation

The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 15 to USD 24.25 per hour.
