Kate Spade (Oak Brook, IL) seeks a part-time Sales Associate — retail stylist focused on clienteling, omni-channel selling and elevated customer service.
Role & Responsibilities
- Welcome guests with warmth and confidence, build rapport and act as a trusted advisor to understand individual customer needs and tastes.
- Provide personalized styling and complete-look recommendations across handbags, apparel, jewelry, footwear and home categories.
- Drive sales through storytelling, product knowledge and thoughtful add-on suggestions to create cohesive outfits and giftable sets.
- Execute omni-channel selling techniques, including virtual appointments and social-media-driven outreach, to convert and retain customers.
- Operate point-of-sale systems, manage transactions and ensure a smooth, efficient checkout experience.
- Maintain visual standards and stockroom organization, including receiving, replenishment and inventory accuracy.
- Collaborate with the store team, exchange constructive feedback, and participate in development conversations to improve store performance.
- Perform light physical tasks required for the role, including lifting merchandise (regularly up to 25 lbs; occasionally up to 50 lbs), bending, climbing and maneuvering the sales floor.
Qualifications
- Proven professional selling skills with strong interpersonal and verbal communication abilities.
- Previous retail experience in a customer-facing role; fashion or lifestyle retail preferred.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities and collaborate effectively within a team.
- Comfortable with social media and willing to learn omni-channel and virtual selling techniques.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, peak retail periods and public holidays.
- Ability to perform essential physical requirements of the role (lifting, standing for extended periods).
Skills
Experience
Prior experience in a retail environment is required. Experience in fashion or accessory sales, styling, or other client-facing luxury retail roles is preferred.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent preferred; additional retail, fashion or customer service training a plus.

The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 15 to USD 24.25 per hour.
