Kate Spade seeks a part-time Sales Associate in North Charleston, SC (Tanger Outlets Charleston) — hourly $15–$19.50 to deliver personalised styling and drive retail sales.
Role & Responsibilities
- Welcome and engage guests with warm, confident service; build rapport through active listening and insightful questions.
- Provide personalised styling advice and create complete looks that integrate Kate Spade products across categories.
- Drive sales through storytelling, cross-sell and add-on recommendations; guide customers through purchase decisions to completion.
- Demonstrate deep product knowledge and showcase multiple ways to wear or use items to inspire repeat business.
- Execute daily store operations including POS transactions, stockroom organisation, merchandising and inventory handling.
- Adopt omni-channel and virtual selling techniques; support social media and brand-led clienteling efforts when required.
- Maintain professional presentation of the selling floor and assist with light housekeeping and merchandise replenishment.
- Work a flexible schedule to support business needs, including nights, weekends, peak retail periods and holidays.
Qualifications
- Professional selling skills with strong interpersonal and verbal communication abilities.
- Prior experience in a retail environment is required.
- Comfortable multitasking, prioritising, and collaborating in a team setting.
- Social media awareness and willingness to learn omni-channel and virtual selling methodologies.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and peak shopping periods.
- Ability to lift regularly up to 25 lbs (occasionally up to 50 lbs) and to climb, bend and manoeuvre between sales floor and stockroom.
Skills
Experience
Prior experience working in a retail environment; demonstrated sales capability and customer-facing experience preferred.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 15 to USD 19.50 per hour.
