Temporary part-time Sales Associate position at Kate Spade New York Hudson Yards, New York. $15–$24.25/hour with benefits.
Role & Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and confidently, demonstrating comprehensive product knowledge across all Kate Spade categories
- Actively listen and ask insightful follow-up questions to understand customer lifestyle needs and aesthetic preferences
- Provide personalized styling advice, suggest coordinating products, and create complete looks that encourage exploration of new styles
- Use storytelling and creative presentation to showcase multiple ways to wear products and inspire customer purchases
- Guide customers through purchase decisions and ensure seamless checkout experience via POS transactions
- Maintain operational excellence, including stockroom organization, inventory management, and sales floor presentation
- Reinforce and celebrate customer choices, fostering brand loyalty and encouraging repeat visits
- Demonstrate awareness of social media trends and willingness to engage with omnichannel and virtual selling techniques
- Give and receive feedback in a constructive, collaborative manner to support team performance
Qualifications
- Prior experience in a retail environment, preferably in luxury fashion or lifestyle brands
- Professional selling skills with exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work collaboratively within a team setting
- Strong social media awareness and openness to learning omnichannel and virtual selling techniques
- Fluency in English (or local language proficiency as applicable per market)
- Ability to lift at least 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally; capability to climb, bend, kneel, and maneuver within sales floor and stockroom environments
- Flexibility to work a varied schedule including nights, weekends, busy seasons, and high-traffic retail days including public holidays

Experience
Prior experience in a retail environment is required. Demonstrated success in customer-facing sales roles, with a proven ability to build relationships, understand customer needs, and exceed sales targets, is highly valued.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent is typically required; further retail, fashion, or customer service training or certification is advantageous.
