Kate Spade New York, Hudson Yards, NYC: Temporary Sales Associate. Assist customers with styling and product selection in a luxury retail environment.
Role & Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and confidently while demonstrating deep product knowledge across all Kate Spade categories
- Actively listen and ask insightful questions to understand customer needs and aesthetic preferences
- Provide personalized styling advice and suggest complementary items to create complete looks
- Use creativity to showcase multiple ways to wear products and encourage customers to explore new styles
- Guide customers through purchase decisions and ensure seamless checkout transactions
- Maintain operational excellence, including stockroom organization and POS system transactions
- Work collaboratively with the team and provide constructive feedback to colleagues
- Reinforce customer choices and create positive experiences that encourage repeat visits
Qualifications
- Prior experience in a retail or customer-facing environment
- Professional selling skills with exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities
- Demonstrated ability to multitask, prioritize, and work collaboratively in a team setting
- Ability to lift at least 25 lbs. regularly (up to 50 lbs. occasionally) and maneuver sales floor and stockroom
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, busy seasons, and high-traffic retail days including public holidays
- Social media awareness and willingness to learn omni-channel and virtual selling techniques

Experience
Prior experience in a retail environment is required. Candidates should demonstrate professional selling skills and a proven track record of building customer relationships.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 15 to USD 24.25 per hour.
