Kate Spade in New York (Rockefeller Center) is hiring a part-time Sales Associate to provide styling-led customer service and drive sales.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Greet customers warmly, build rapport, and provide personalised styling advice to create complete looks that integrate Kate Spade products.
  • Conduct needs-based consultations by asking insightful follow-up questions and actively listening to customers to recommend relevant items and add-ons.
  • Drive sales through storytelling and product demonstrations that showcase multiple ways to wear merchandise and encourage exploration of new styles.
  • Operate the POS system, complete transactions accurately, and ensure a seamless checkout experience.
  • Maintain visual and operational standards on the sales floor and in the stockroom, including organisation, replenishment, and loss-prevention practices.
  • Adopt omnichannel selling techniques (virtual selling, social commerce) and support online-to-offline customer interactions.
  • Provide and receive constructive feedback; contribute to team performance and store targets.
  • Perform physical tasks as required — regularly lift up to 25 lbs (occasionally to 50 lbs), bend, climb and move inventory between sales floor and stockroom.

Qualifications

  • Professional selling skills with strong interpersonal and verbal communication abilities.
  • Prior retail experience in a customer-facing role.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritise, and collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Social media awareness and willingness to learn omnichannel/virtual selling techniques.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, peak retail periods and public holidays as required.

Experience
