Kate Spade in New York, NY seeks a Contract Sales Associate to deliver branded client experiences and drive boutique sales.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver a warm, personalised client experience that reflects the Kate Spade brand and drives loyalty.
- Achieve and exceed individual and store sales targets through proactive selling and effective clienteling.
- Maintain visual merchandising standards, ensuring product presentation and window displays meet brand guidelines.
- Operate point-of-sale systems accurately, including cash handling, processing transactions and completing daily reconciliation.
- Manage stockroom activities: receive merchandise, conduct inventory counts, replenish floor stock and assist with loss-prevention procedures.
- Develop product knowledge across seasonal collections and translate features into compelling selling points for clients.
- Support store operations including opening/closing procedures, housekeeping and ad-hoc administrative tasks.
Qualifications
- Proven ability to deliver high-quality customer service in a retail environment.
- Previous retail or luxury brand sales experience preferred.
- Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills; ability to build rapport with diverse clientele.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and peak holiday periods.
- Legal authorization to work in the hiring country.

Typically 1+ year of retail or customer-facing sales experience is preferred; experience within luxury or fashion retail is advantageous.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in retail or fashion is a plus.
