Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver impeccable, client-focused service consistent with Kate Spade’s luxury positioning; build and maintain lasting client relationships through proactive clienteling and personalised follow-up.
- Achieve and exceed individual and store sales targets and KPIs through consultative selling, upselling, and cross-selling of handbags, accessories and ready-to-wear.
- Operate POS and complete accurate cash handling, returns and transaction reconciliation while following loss-prevention procedures.
- Maintain deep product knowledge and communicate features, craftsmanship and brand story to clients.
- Execute visual merchandising standards and participate in store floor moves, window styling and seasonal resets to uphold brand presentation.
- Support inventory control activities including stock replenishment, receiving, cycle counts and reporting of shrink or discrepancies.
- Assist with recruitment, onboarding and informal coaching of junior sales staff when required; contribute to a collaborative, service-oriented store culture.
Qualifications
- Proven track record in retail sales, ideally within luxury or premium fashion accessories or leather goods.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with an aptitude for building rapport and long-term client relationships.
- Comfort with flexible retail hours including evenings, weekends and holiday peaks.
- High standards of personal presentation and alignment with Kate Spade brand values.
- Demonstrated reliability, attention to detail and strong numerical accuracy for cash and stock handling.
Skills
Experience
Typically requires 2+ years of retail sales experience, preferably in a luxury or premium fashion environment; prior experience with handbags/accessories or supervisory/mentorship responsibilities is advantageous.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary coursework or retail/fashion-related certification preferred but not required.
