The Sales Associate serves as a knowledgeable styling advisor, helping customers discover personal style, select products, and incorporate Kate Spade pieces into their wardrobes. The role combines customer engagement, styling, sales, storytelling, product knowledge, and store operations. This is a part-time position.
Role & Responsibilities
- Welcome guests warmly and confidently, demonstrating strong product knowledge.
- Listen actively and ask insightful follow-up questions to understand customer needs.
- Provide styling advice, recommend add-on products, and create complete looks.
- Use creativity to demonstrate multiple ways to wear products and encourage customers to explore new styles.
- Guide customers through purchase decisions and provide a seamless checkout experience.
- Reinforce and celebrate customers’ choices, encouraging them to return.
- Drive results through strong customer connections and storytelling.
- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of the brand and product attributes across all categories.
- Maintain operational excellence, including stockroom organization and POS transactions.
- Give and receive feedback honestly and constructively.
Qualifications
- Professional selling skills, with exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Prior experience in a retail environment.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and collaborate in a team setting.
- Social media awareness and willingness to learn omni-channel and virtual selling techniques.
- English proficiency or proficiency in the local language, as applicable to the market.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, busy season, high-traffic retail days, and public holidays.
- Ability to regularly lift at least 25 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs, and to climb, bend, kneel, and maneuver around the sales floor and stockroom.
