Kate Spade New York in Gaffney, SC is hiring a Part-time Sales Associate to deliver styling-led customer service and drive retail sales.
Role & Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly, build rapport, and actively listen to understand individual style and lifestyle needs.
- Deliver personalised styling advice and create complete looks that showcase Kate Spade product stories across categories.
- Drive sales through consultative selling, storytelling and suggestive selling of add‑ons and coordinated items.
- Execute omni-channel and virtual selling activities when required; support social media and clienteling initiatives.
- Maintain operational excellence on the sales floor and in the stockroom, including POS transactions and inventory organization.
- Ensure smooth checkout experiences and follow-up to encourage repeat visits; reinforce and celebrate customer choices.
- Perform physical tasks as needed (regularly lift ~25 lbs; occasionally up to 50 lbs) and adapt to a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
Qualifications
- Demonstrable professional selling skills with excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Prior retail experience in a customer-facing role.
- Ability to multitask, prioritise duties and collaborate effectively within a team.
- Comfort with social media and willingness to learn omni/virtual selling techniques.
- Flexible availability to work evenings, weekends, high-traffic days and public holidays.
- Able to lift regularly up to 25 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs; able to climb, bend and kneel in a retail environment.

Experience
Prior retail experience with a proven track record in customer-facing sales; demonstrated ability to meet sales goals through consultative selling and strong product knowledge.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; some college or related retail training preferred.

Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 15 to USD 19.25 per hour.
