The Sales Associate serves as a knowledgeable styling advisor, helping customers select products suited to their aesthetic and lifestyle and incorporate Kate Spade pieces into their wardrobes. The role combines personalized service, sales, product storytelling and store operations, with part-time hours and a flexible schedule that includes nights, weekends, busy season and high-traffic retail days. Base pay is $15.00–$19.50 per hour.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Welcome guests warmly and confidently, demonstrating strong product knowledge.
  • Listen actively and ask insightful follow-up questions to understand customer needs.
  • Provide styling advice, suggest complementary items, and create complete looks.
  • Show customers creative ways to wear products and encourage them to explore new styles.
  • Guide customers through purchase decisions and deliver a seamless checkout experience.
  • Reinforce and celebrate customer choices, encouraging them to return.
  • Drive results through strong customer connections and storytelling.
  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of Kate Spade and product attributes across all categories.
  • Maintain operational excellence, including stockroom organization and point-of-sale transactions.
  • Give and receive feedback honestly and constructively.

Qualifications

  • Professional selling skills and exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Prior experience in a retail environment.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and collaborate in a team setting.
  • Social media awareness and willingness to learn omnichannel and virtual selling techniques.
  • English proficiency, or proficiency in the local language for the market.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, busy season, and high-traffic retail days such as public holidays.
  • Ability to regularly lift at least 25 lbs and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs, and to climb, bend, kneel, and maneuver around the sales floor and stockroom.
