Kate Spade New York seeks a Temporary Sales Associate in Farmington, Connecticut. Hourly role ($15–$19.50) featuring styling, customer engagement, and retail operations expertise.
Role & Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and confidently, demonstrating comprehensive product knowledge across all Kate Spade categories
- Actively listen to customer needs and ask insightful follow-up questions to understand personal style preferences
- Provide expert styling advice, recommend complementary products, and create complete coordinated looks
- Showcase multiple ways to incorporate Kate Spade products into customers' existing wardrobes
- Guide customers through purchase decisions and ensure seamless point-of-sale transactions
- Maintain operational excellence including stockroom organization and inventory management
- Demonstrate strong customer focus and build meaningful relationships with repeat clients
- Provide and receive constructive feedback in a professional, collaborative manner
Qualifications
- Prior experience in a retail environment, preferably in luxury fashion or lifestyle sectors
- Professional selling skills with exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities
- Demonstrated ability to multitask, prioritize, and collaborate effectively within a team
- Proficiency in English (or local language proficiency per market)
- Social media awareness and willingness to learn omni-channel and virtual selling techniques
- Physical capability to lift at least 25 lbs regularly (up to 50 lbs occasionally), climb, bend, kneel, and navigate sales floor and stockroom areas
