Role & Responsibilities
- Welcome and engage guests with confident, warm service; diagnose customer needs through active listening and discovery questions.
- Provide personalised styling advice, assemble complete looks and suggest add-ons to drive average transaction value and basket depth.
- Deliver persuasive product storytelling that highlights brand DNA and category attributes across handbags, accessories and apparel.
- Execute POS transactions accurately, manage cash handling and ensure a frictionless checkout experience.
- Maintain operational standards including stockroom organisation, inventory replenishment and floor visual presentation.
- Adopt omnichannel and virtual selling techniques to connect with customers across digital and in-store touchpoints.
- Support store results by meeting sales KPIs, participating in team-selling activities and sharing constructive feedback.
- Perform physical tasks required in retail, including lifting merchandise and fixtures (regularly up to 25 lbs; occasionally up to 50 lbs).
Qualifications
- Demonstrable professional selling ability and exceptional interpersonal communication.
- Prior experience in a retail environment, preferably within fashion or lifestyle brands.
- Comfortable working a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, peak retail periods and public holidays.
- Ability to multitask, prioritise responsibilities and work collaboratively within a team.
- Basic digital literacy with an eagerness to learn omnichannel, virtual selling and social media-driven retail techniques.
- Capacity to perform physical requirements of the role (lifting, bending, climbing).
Skills
Experience
Prior retail sales experience is required; experience in fashion or lifestyle retail and clienteling is strongly preferred. Candidates should have a track record of meeting sales targets and delivering elevated customer service.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; retail, fashion or merchandising coursework preferred.
