Kate Spade New York seeks a Part-time Sales Associate in Charleston, South Carolina (King Street) — styling-focused retail role with hourly pay $15.00–$19.50.
Role & Responsibilities
- Welcome and engage guests with warmth and product expertise, acting as a trusted styling advisor.
- Deliver personalised styling recommendations and assemble complete looks that integrate Kate Spade products into customers’ wardrobes.
- Drive sales through storytelling, suggestive selling, and by identifying and closing add-on opportunities.
- Support omnichannel selling: assist with virtual consultations, social selling, and digital clienteling as required.
- Operate the point-of-sale, process transactions accurately and ensure an efficient checkout experience.
- Maintain visual merchandising standards, organise the sales floor and stockroom, and execute inventory tasks.
- Provide and receive constructive feedback to improve service and performance.
- Work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, high-traffic retail days and public holidays.
Qualifications
- Professional selling skills with excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Prior experience in a retail environment; experience in fashion, accessories, or lifestyle retail preferred.
- Comfortable using social media for brand engagement and willing to learn omni/virtual selling techniques.
- Ability to multitask, prioritise responsibilities and collaborate effectively within a team.
- Able to lift regularly at least 25 lbs (occasionally up to 50 lbs) and perform routine stockroom and floor duties.

Experience
Prior retail experience is required; experience advising customers on styling or selling fashion accessories is preferred.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; some post-secondary coursework in fashion, retail or related fields is an advantage but not required.
