Kate Spade in Carlsbad, CA seeks a part-time Sales Associate to deliver styling, sales and omnichannel service at Carlsbad Premium Outlets.
Role & Responsibilities
- Welcome guests with warmth and confidence, demonstrate deep product knowledge, and build immediate rapport.
- Conduct needs-based consultations to discover customers' personal style and recommend cohesive looks, add-ons and cross-category pairings.
- Deliver compelling brand storytelling to drive conversion and basket growth across in-store and virtual channels.
- Execute omnichannel selling and assist customers through the purchase process, ensuring a seamless checkout and post-sale experience.
- Maintain operational excellence including stockroom organisation, merchandising standards, accurate POS transactions and basic loss-prevention practices.
- Adapt to a flexible schedule—nights, weekends, peak retail periods and public holidays—and perform regular physical tasks including lifting and merchandising.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated professional selling skills with excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Previous retail sales experience in a customer-facing environment.
- Comfortable multitasking and collaborating within a team; receptive to and capable of delivering constructive feedback.
- Familiarity with social media and willingness to learn omnichannel/virtual selling techniques.
- Ability to lift regularly at least 25 lbs (occasionally up to 50 lbs) and perform routine physical duties on the sales floor and in the stockroom.

Experience
Prior retail sales experience is required; candidates should demonstrate a track record of customer engagement, styling or advisory selling and meeting sales objectives in a fast-paced retail environment.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; coursework or training in retail, fashion or visual merchandising preferred.

The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 15 to USD 24.25 per hour.
