Kate Spade New York seeks a Seasonal Stylist in Arvin, California. Hourly position offering flexible scheduling and comprehensive benefits.
Role & Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and confidently while demonstrating comprehensive product knowledge across all categories
- Actively listen to customer needs and ask insightful follow-up questions to understand their aesthetic preferences and lifestyle
- Provide personalized styling advice, suggest complementary products, and create complete coordinated looks
- Use creativity to showcase multiple styling options and encourage customers to explore new styles and perspectives
- Guide customers through purchase decisions and ensure a seamless, elegant checkout experience
- Reinforce customer choices and build loyalty by inviting them to return
- Drive sales results through authentic customer connections, compelling storytelling, and deep brand knowledge
- Maintain operational excellence including stockroom organization, inventory management, and accurate POS transactions
- Demonstrate awareness of social media and express willingness to learn omnichannel and virtual selling techniques
- Give and receive feedback in a constructive, professional manner
- Lift merchandise regularly (up to 25 lbs. consistently, up to 50 lbs. occasionally) and navigate sales floor and stockroom with agility
Qualifications
- Professional selling skills with exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities
- Prior retail experience in a customer-facing environment
- Demonstrated ability to multitask, prioritize, and work collaboratively within a team
- Fluency in English; proficiency in local language for the market preferred
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, busy seasons, and high-traffic retail days
- Physical capability to lift and maneuver merchandise regularly and navigate store environments
- Strong product knowledge and passion for fashion and lifestyle
Skills
Experience
Prior experience working in a retail environment with direct customer interaction is essential. Experience in luxury fashion, accessories, or lifestyle retail is strongly preferred.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; further retail or fashion education is advantageous but not required.

The successful candidate will be located in Arvin, California, USA, with easy access to Bakersfield.
Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 15 to USD 19.50 per hour.
