Kate Spade seeks a Full‑Time Retail Supervisor in San Diego to lead sales, clienteling and store operations at Fashion Valley.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead by example on the sales floor to drive personal and team sales, meet KPI targets and implement best practices to optimise productivity and conversion.
  • Develop and maintain client relationships through proactive outreach, clienteling and superior in-store and after-sales service to build repeat and VIP business.
  • Coach, mentor and evaluate sales associates; support recruitment, onboarding and continuous development to elevate selling behaviours and customer service standards.
  • Execute opening and closing procedures including cash handling, bank deposits, register operation and key-holding responsibilities to ensure operational security.
  • Oversee inventory integrity by processing POS transactions, receiving, transfers, shipments, repairs and damages; maintain an organised stockroom and timely replenishment.
  • Drive omni-channel initiatives and virtual selling activities (including live-stream shopping); capture customer data to grow loyalty and repeat purchases.
  • Promote brand-safe social media engagement and maintain awareness of platform trends to support local marketing and client engagement.
  • Foster an inclusive, equitable team culture aligned with brand competencies and act as an advocate for team performance and development needs.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2+ years in a retail service environment in a management or floor-leadership role; luxury or premium retail experience preferred (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to multi-task, prioritise and provide clear, actionable feedback.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Familiarity with POS systems, clienteling systems and omni-channel/virtual selling tools.
  • Social media literacy and an understanding of platform trends; ability to represent the brand online in a brand-safe manner.
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, peak seasons and public holidays.
  • Ability to lift regularly at least 25 lbs (up to 50 lbs occasionally) and perform physical tasks on the sales floor and in the stockroom.

Experience

Education

High school diploma or equivalent; vocational retail/merchandising coursework or associate degree and formal retail management training preferred.

Compensation

The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 16 to USD 24.75 per hour.
