The Retail Supervisor supports Kate Spade store leadership by driving sales and KPIs, developing the team, cultivating client relationships, and overseeing store operations and omnichannel initiatives. This is a full-time role with a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, peak season, high-traffic days, and public holidays; base pay is $16.00–$24.75 per hour.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Support store leadership by creating a customer-first, high-energy sales environment through exceptional floor supervision.
  • Drive store productivity and profitability through team building, coaching, goal setting, client development, and adherence to Kate Spade New York standards.
  • Serve as a brand ambassador, set the tone on the sales floor, lead by example, and elevate service, selling behaviors, and operational excellence.
  • Drive personal sales performance and lead the team to achieve sales and KPI targets; analyze metrics and implement best practices to improve results and efficiency.
  • Build client relationships through proactive outreach and Kate Spade service standards; ensure exceptional in-store and after-sales experiences; lead outreach to drive repeat business and VIP retention.
  • Model Kate Spade service behaviors—meeting and greeting customers and creating conversations—to build strong relationships and discover client needs.
  • Coach the team on goals and performance; support recruitment, onboarding, role modeling, ongoing training, and development.
  • Provide store leadership with feedback on individual performance and development needs, and advocate for the team.
  • Foster an inclusive, equitable, and diverse culture that empowers teams to thrive authentically.
  • Perform and supervise opening and closing procedures, including cash handling, bank deposits, register operations, and securing the facility; hold keys.
  • Accurately process POS transactions and inventory functions, including transfers, receiving, shipments, repairs, and damages, to maintain inventory integrity.
  • Maintain an organized stockroom and direct timely replenishment to ensure product availability on the sales floor.
  • Drive omnichannel and virtual selling initiatives, including livestream shopping.
  • Promote brand-safe social media engagement and awareness of trends.
  • Lead customer data capture to grow loyalty and repeat purchases.

Qualifications

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; detail-oriented, proactive, and able to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and staff and confidently navigate the sales floor.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Social media literacy and understanding of platform trends.
  • Comfort with omnichannel and virtual selling tools and clienteling systems.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet business needs, including nights, weekends, peak busy season, high-traffic retail days, and public holidays.
  • Ability to regularly lift at least 25 lbs and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs, as well as climb, bend, kneel, and maneuver through the sales floor and stockroom.

Experience
