The Retail Supervisor supports store leadership at Kate Spade in Concord, North Carolina, by driving sales and KPIs, client development, team coaching, and operational excellence. The role includes floor supervision, omnichannel initiatives, inventory and cash procedures, and flexible scheduling, including nights, weekends, peak season, and public holidays. Full-time; base pay is $16.00–$24.75 per hour.
Role & Responsibilities
- Create a customer-first, high-energy sales environment through effective floor supervision, team building, coaching, goal setting, client development, and adherence to Kate Spade New York standards.
- Drive personal sales performance and lead the team to achieve sales and KPI targets; analyze metrics and implement best practices to improve results and efficiency.
- Build client relationships through proactive outreach and Kate Spade service standards; ensure exceptional in-store and after-sales experiences; drive repeat business and VIP retention.
- Model Kate Spade service behaviours—meeting and greeting clients and creating conversations—to build relationships and discover client needs.
- Coach the team on goals and performance; support recruitment, onboarding, role modelling, and ongoing development and training.
- Provide store leadership with feedback on individual performance and development needs, and advocate for the team.
- Foster an inclusive, equitable, and diverse culture that empowers teams to thrive authentically.
- Perform and supervise opening and closing procedures, including cash handling, bank deposits, register operations, and securing the facility; hold keys as required.
- Process POS transactions and inventory functions accurately, including transfers, receiving, shipments, repairs, and damages, to maintain inventory integrity.
- Maintain an organized stockroom and direct timely replenishment to ensure product availability on the sales floor.
- Drive omnichannel and virtual selling initiatives, including livestream shopping.
- Promote brand-safe social media engagement and awareness of trends.
- Lead customer data capture to grow loyalty and repeat purchases.
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of experience in a retail service environment in a management or floor leadership role; luxury, premium, or comparable retail experience preferred.
- A combination of education and experience will be considered.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; detail-oriented, proactive, and able to multitask and prioritize effectively.
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and staff and confidently navigate the sales floor.
- Strong English language proficiency (for EU).
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet business needs, including nights, weekends, peak busy season, high-traffic retail days, and public holidays.
- Ability to regularly lift at least 25 lbs (up to 50 lbs occasionally), climb, bend, kneel, and manoeuvre around the sales floor and stockroom.
