Kate Spade New York Retail Supervisor in Chicago — full-time retail leadership role driving sales, clienteling and store operations (Chicago, IL).
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead the sales floor to achieve individual and store sales targets and KPIs; analyze metrics and implement best practices to improve productivity and conversion.
- Model and coach kate spade service behaviors to deliver exceptional client experiences, including proactive outreach, VIP retention and post-sale service.
- Develop and mentor store staff through recruitment support, onboarding, performance feedback, and ongoing training to build a high-performing team.
- Oversee daily store operations and compliance: open/close procedures, cash handling, bank deposits, register operations, key-holding, and loss-prevention practices.
- Manage inventory integrity and stockroom organization: receiving, transfers, shipments, repairs, damages and timely replenishment to the sales floor.
- Drive omni-channel initiatives and virtual selling (including live-stream shopping); lead customer data capture and clienteling to grow loyalty and repeat business.
- Promote brand-safe social media engagement and maintain awareness of platform trends to support in-store marketing and customer acquisition.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in a retail service environment in a management or floor leadership role; luxury or premium retail experience preferred.
- Proven ability to lead and coach sales teams, set goals, and deliver measurable results against KPIs.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with meticulous attention to detail and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook; comfortable using POS systems, clienteling systems and omni-channel/virtual-selling tools.
- Social media literacy and familiarity with platform trends; experience with proactive client outreach and CRM/data capture.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays and peak retail periods; capability to lift regularly at least 25 lbs (up to 50 lbs occasionally).

Experience
At least 2 years in a retail service environment in a supervisory or floor-leadership capacity; experience in luxury or premium retail strongly preferred. A combination of relevant education and experience will be considered.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required; postsecondary coursework or degree in retail, business, fashion or related field preferred.

The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 17 to USD 27.75 per hour.
