Role & Responsibilities
- Engage customers with warmth and confident product knowledge, uncovering needs through active listening and targeted questions.
- Provide personalised styling advice and build complete looks, recommending add-ons and cross-category pairings to elevate average transaction value.
- Tell the brand story and product attributes to drive conversion and exceed individual sales goals through consultative selling.
- Deliver operational excellence including point-of-sale transactions, stockroom organisation, inventory replenishment and visual presentation.
- Adopt omni-channel selling techniques and social media engagement to convert virtual/remote leads and support store initiatives.
- Ensure a seamless checkout experience and post‑purchase engagement, reinforcing reasons to return and building client loyalty.
- Maintain flexibility to work variable schedules—nights, weekends, holidays and peak retail periods—and safely handle merchandise (regularly lift 25 lbs; occasionally up to 50 lbs).
Qualifications
- Proven professional selling skills with exemplary interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Prior experience in a retail environment, preferably within a fashion or lifestyle brand.
- Comfortable multitasking, prioritising competing demands and collaborating within a team.
- Willingness to learn and apply omni/virtual selling techniques and social media customer engagement.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, public holidays and peak retail seasons.
- Capable of performing physical aspects of the role including lifting, bending and stockroom activity.
Skills
Experience
Previous retail experience is required; candidates should demonstrate sales aptitude and a track record of customer engagement and relationship building. Experience within fashion, accessories or lifestyle retail is preferred.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
