Kate Spade New York in McLean, VA (Tyson's Corner) seeks a Temporary Retail Stylist (part-time) to deliver styling and sales excellence.
Role & Responsibilities
- Welcome customers and build rapport through confident, informed product guidance and styling advice.
- Conduct consultative conversations to understand customer needs and assemble complete looks across categories.
- Drive sales through storytelling, add-on recommendations and visual demonstration of multiple ways to wear product.
- Execute smooth transaction processes at point of sale and ensure follow-through to close purchases.
- Maintain operational standards including stockroom organisation, inventory replenishment and merchandising.
- Adopt omni-channel and virtual selling techniques; engage customers via brand-aligned social media when appropriate.
- Provide constructive feedback and collaborate with the store team to meet sales and service objectives.
Qualifications
- Proven customer-facing selling skills with strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Prior experience in a retail environment, preferably in fashion or lifestyle brands.
- Capacity to multitask, prioritise workload and contribute effectively in a team setting.
- Willingness and ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, busy season and public holidays.
- Ability to regularly lift 25 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs; able to climb, bend and manoeuvre on the sales floor and in the stockroom.

Experience
Prior retail experience is required; experience with fashion or lifestyle brands and consultative selling is strongly preferred.

The successful candidate will be located in McLean, Virginia, USA, with easy access to Washington, D.C..
Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 15 to USD 19.50 per hour.
