Role & Responsibilities
- Welcome and engage guests warmly, using deep product knowledge to advise on styling and complete looks.
- Deliver personalised styling consultations that combine Kate Spade products with customers’ existing wardrobes.
- Drive sales through consultative selling, storytelling and suggestive selling of complementary items.
- Execute smooth point-of-sale transactions and maintain operational standards on the sales floor.
- Maintain stockroom organisation, perform regular merchandising updates and assist with inventory handling.
- Support omni-channel and virtual selling initiatives and incorporate social media awareness into customer outreach.
- Provide and receive constructive feedback to improve customer experience and team performance.
Qualifications
- Professional selling skills with strong interpersonal and verbal communication abilities.
- Prior retail experience; demonstrated ability to meet customers’ needs through styling and consultative selling.
- Comfortable multitasking and collaborating within a fast-paced team environment.
- Social media awareness and willingness to learn omni-channel/virtual selling techniques.
- Flexibility to work a varied schedule including nights, weekends, peak retail days and public holidays.
- Physical ability to lift regularly up to 25 lbs (occasionally up to 50 lbs), bend, climb and manoeuvre on the sales floor and in the stockroom.
Skills
Experience
Prior experience in a retail environment with demonstrable selling results and hands-on styling or visual merchandising exposure.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in fashion, merchandising or retail management is an asset.
Workplace
The successful candidate will be located in Halton Hills, Ontario, Canada, with easy access to Toronto.
Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from CAD 17.60 to CAD 22 per hour.
