Kate Spade in Chicago seeks a part-time Retail Stylist (Temporary Associate) to deliver personalised styling and drive sales.
Role & Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly, build rapport and demonstrate authoritative product knowledge across categories.
- Listen actively to understand customer needs and provide personalised styling advice to create complete looks and suggest complementary items.
- Use creativity to present multiple ways to wear and combine products, encouraging customers to explore new styles.
- Drive sales through storytelling and consultative selling while meeting store performance objectives.
- Execute POS transactions and ensure a seamless checkout experience for customers.
- Maintain operational excellence including stockroom organisation, inventory handling and visual presentation of merchandise.
- Provide and accept constructive feedback; collaborate with team members to improve customer service and store results.
- Work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, peak seasons and holidays; perform regular physical tasks such as lifting (up to 25 lbs regularly, to 50 lbs occasionally) and maneuvering the sales floor and stockroom.
Qualifications
- Professional selling skills with strong interpersonal and verbal communication.
- Prior experience in a retail environment; experience in fashion or luxury retail preferred.
- Ability to multitask, prioritise responsibilities and work effectively in a team setting.
- Social media awareness and willingness to learn omni-channel and virtual selling techniques.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule to meet business needs, including weekends and holidays.
Skills
Experience
Prior retail experience is required; experience in fashion or luxury retail is preferred. Demonstrated track record of consultative selling and delivering high levels of customer service is valued.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; coursework or training in fashion, merchandising or retail is a plus.

Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 15 to USD 24.25 per hour.
