Kate Spade in Carlsbad, CA is hiring a part-time Retail Stylist to provide styling, sales and omni-channel client service at Carlsbad Premium Outlets.
Role & Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted style advisor: greet guests, assess needs, and provide personalised styling recommendations that integrate Kate Spade products into the customer’s wardrobe.
- Drive sales through storytelling, suggestive selling and creation of complete looks, including cross-category add‑ons.
- Deliver exceptional omni-channel service — support in‑store, virtual and social selling initiatives to convert and retain customers.
- Execute point-of-sale transactions and maintain operational excellence: stockroom organisation, merchandising, inventory replenishment and visual presentation.
- Ensure a seamless customer journey from engagement through checkout and actively invite repeat visits.
- Work a flexible schedule to meet business needs, including nights, weekends, peak seasons and public holidays; perform routine lifting and stockroom tasks (regularly up to 25 lbs; occasionally up to 50 lbs).
Qualifications
- Demonstrated professional selling skills with strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Prior experience in a retail environment; styling, clienteling or fashion-focused retail experience preferred.
- Comfortable multitasking, prioritising duties and collaborating within a team.
- Familiarity with social media and willingness to learn omni-channel and virtual selling techniques.
- Proficiency in English.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule and perform light to moderate physical tasks (lifting, bending, climbing).

Experience
Prior retail experience is required; candidates with hands-on styling, clienteling or brand-specific sales experience will be preferred. No specific years are mandated, but demonstrated success in customer-facing retail roles is expected.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required; coursework or certifications in fashion, merchandising or retail sales is a plus.
