Kate Spade New York seeks a Retail Store Supervisor in Ottawa to lead sales, client relationships, and daily operations at a luxury retail outlet.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Drive personal and team sales performance to achieve revenue and KPI targets; analyze metrics and implement best practices for continuous improvement
  • Build and maintain client relationships through proactive outreach and Kate Spade service standards; lead VIP retention initiatives and after-sales engagement
  • Model Kate Spade service behaviors and brand positioning; create a welcoming atmosphere consistent with the 'host of the party' philosophy
  • Coach and develop team members on goals and performance; support recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing training initiatives
  • Provide feedback to store leadership on individual performance and development needs; advocate for team members and foster inclusive workplace culture
  • Supervise opening and closing procedures including cash handling, bank deposits, register operations, and key-holding responsibilities
  • Maintain inventory integrity through accurate POS transactions, transfers, receiving, shipments, and damage documentation
  • Manage stockroom organization and direct timely replenishment to ensure product availability on the sales floor
  • Drive omni-channel and virtual selling initiatives, including live-stream shopping events and social media engagement
  • Lead customer data capture and loyalty program enrollment to increase repeat purchases and customer lifetime value

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of retail service experience in a management or floor leadership role; luxury or premium retail preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to confidently navigate the sales floor
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Social media literacy and understanding of current platform trends
  • Comfort with omni-channel and virtual selling tools; experience with clienteling systems preferred
  • Ability to lift at least 25 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally; capability to climb, bend, kneel, and maneuver the sales floor and stockroom
  • Flexible availability including nights, weekends, peak seasons, and public holidays

Experience

2+ years of retail service experience in a management or floor leadership role, preferably within a luxury or premium retail environment. Demonstrated success in sales performance, team leadership, and operational management required.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent; additional retail, business, or hospitality education is valued but not required. A combination of relevant education and hands-on retail experience will be considered.

Compensation

The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 20.50 to USD 26 per hour.
