Kate Spade New York seeks a part-time Sales Associate in Sunbury, Ohio (Tanger Outlets) to provide styling, drive sales and deliver exceptional customer service.
Role & Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly, build rapport and act as a trusted advisor to discover customers’ style preferences and needs.
- Provide personalized styling advice, assemble complete looks and recommend complementary items to maximize basket size.
- Demonstrate and maintain deep product knowledge across categories to support persuasive storytelling and conversion.
- Drive sales results through relationship-building, active listening and targeted selling techniques (including omni and virtual selling).
- Execute POS transactions accurately and maintain operational excellence on the sales floor and in the stockroom.
- Use creativity and visual merchandising to showcase multiple ways to wear products and inspire return visits.
- Give and receive constructive feedback; collaborate with the store team to meet performance targets and maintain a high-energy customer experience.
- Work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, peak retail days and public holidays; perform light lifting and routine physical tasks required for sales floor operations.
Qualifications
- Proven professional selling skills with excellent interpersonal and verbal communication.
- Prior experience in a retail sales environment.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize and collaborate effectively within a team.
- Familiarity with social media and willingness to learn omni-channel and virtual selling techniques.
- English proficiency (or local language per market) and the capacity to work a flexible schedule.
- Ability to lift regularly up to 25 lbs (up to 50 lbs occasionally) and perform physical tasks such as climbing, bending and kneeling.

Experience
Previous retail sales experience is required. Experience with styling, visual merchandising or selling in fashion/luxury retail and familiarity with omni-channel sales environments is advantageous.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; retail- or fashion-related coursework preferred.

This position is based in Sunbury, Ohio, USA, within easy reach of Columbus.
Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 15 to USD 19.50 per hour.
