Kate Spade seeks a Temporary Retail Associate in New York, NY to deliver elevated client service, sales support and merchandising.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver elevated, personalised customer service and cultivate repeat clientele through thoughtful clienteling.
- Achieve individual and store sales targets through proactive selling, product knowledge and suggestive selling techniques.
- Maintain visual merchandising standards, execute floor moves and ensure the store environment aligns with brand directives.
- Operate POS systems, process transactions, exchanges and returns accurately and adhere to cash-handling procedures.
- Receive, unpack and cycle merchandise; assist with inventory counts and stockroom organisation.
- Support store events, promotions and peak trading periods, including flexible hours and weekend shifts.
- Uphold loss-prevention protocols and ensure compliance with store and brand policies.
Qualifications
- Proven aptitude for customer-facing roles; previous retail or luxury brand experience preferred.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends and holiday periods for temporary/seasonal assignments.
- Professional grooming and presentation consistent with brand standards.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
Skills
Experience
Preferably 1+ year of retail or luxury sales experience; candidates with seasonal or multi-brand boutique experience will be prioritized. Less experienced applicants with strong customer service aptitude may be considered for entry-level temporary roles.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary studies in fashion, merchandising or hospitality advantageous.
