Kate Spade in Chicago seeks a Part-Time Stylist (15 hours) to deliver personalized styling and drive sales at the 900 North store.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Greet customers warmly and establish rapport; assess needs through attentive listening and targeted questions.
  • Provide personalized styling advice, curate complete looks and suggest complementary items to increase basket size.
  • Demonstrate deep product knowledge across categories and communicate brand story and product attributes.
  • Drive sales through expert clienteling, storytelling and follow-up to reinforce customer choices and encourage return visits.
  • Execute omnichannel/virtual selling activities and support social-driven engagement when required.
  • Operate POS, process transactions accurately and ensure a seamless checkout experience.
  • Maintain operational excellence: organize stockroom, receive and replenish inventory, and uphold visual merchandising standards.
  • Perform physical tasks as required (lifting up to 25 lbs routinely; occasional lifts up to 50 lbs) and support high-traffic days, nights, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

  • Professional selling skills with strong interpersonal and verbal communication abilities.
  • Prior experience in a retail environment, preferably in fashion, accessories or luxury retail.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize and collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Social media awareness and openness to learn omnichannel and virtual selling techniques.
  • Proficiency in English (or the local language for the market) and comfort engaging diverse clientele.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and peak retail periods.
  • Physical capacity to lift and maneuver stock and merchandise as described.

Skills

Experience

Prior retail experience is required; demonstrated success in selling, client advising or styling within a store environment is preferred. Experience with omnichannel tools or virtual selling is an advantage.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent preferred; coursework or certificates in fashion, retail or visual merchandising are a plus.
