Fashion Stylist at Kate Spade New York in San Diego (Fashion Valley) – part-time position, $15–$19.50/hr, retail styling and customer advisory role.
Role & Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and confidently while demonstrating comprehensive knowledge of Kate Spade's full product range across all categories
- Actively listen to customer needs and preferences, asking insightful follow-up questions to understand their style, lifestyle, and aesthetic
- Provide personalized styling advice, suggest complementary products and add-ons, and create complete coordinated looks
- Showcase multiple ways to wear and incorporate Kate Spade products into customers' existing wardrobes with creativity and flair
- Guide customers through purchase decisions and ensure a seamless, confident checkout experience
- Reinforce and celebrate customer choices to foster loyalty and encourage repeat visits
- Maintain deep product knowledge and leverage brand storytelling to drive meaningful customer connections and sales results
- Perform operational excellence tasks including stockroom organization, inventory management, and accurate POS transactions
- Give and receive feedback in a constructive, professional manner to support continuous improvement

Qualifications
- Professional selling skills with exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities
- Prior retail experience in a customer-facing environment

- Social media awareness and willingness to learn omni-channel and virtual selling techniques
- Fluency in English
- Physical capability to lift at least 25 lbs regularly (up to 50 lbs occasionally), and to climb, bend, kneel, and navigate sales floor and stockroom areas
- Availability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, holidays, and busy retail periods
