Kate Spade in New York seeks a Temporary Associate to provide boutique customer service, sales support and visual merchandising in a retail setting.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Deliver attentive, personalised service to boutique clients to meet daily sales targets and cultivate long-term customer relationships.
  • Operate the point-of-sale system accurately, process transactions, returns and exchanges, and reconcile cash drawer at shift end.
  • Support visual merchandising standards: maintain floor sets, replenish displays, and ensure product presentation aligns with brand guidelines.
  • Manage stockroom operations including receiving, tagging, pricing, and replenishment of merchandise.
  • Assist with inventory counts and basic loss-prevention procedures to protect retail assets.
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries by phone and in-person, and escalate product or service issues to management when necessary.
  • Participate in opening/closing procedures and maintain boutique housekeeping and safety standards.
  • Adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced retail environment and support ad hoc events, promotions or pop-ups.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Right to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Availability for flexible shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays as required for a temporary assignment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on client service.
  • Demonstrable numeracy and accuracy for cash handling and POS transactions.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 kg (55 lbs) intermittently.

Experience
