Kate Spade New York seeks a Temporary Stylist to serve as a trusted advisor assisting customers in selecting handbags, ready-to-wear, jewelry, footwear, and home décor that suit their personal aesthetic and lifestyle. The successful candidate will engage guests with confidence and product expertise, provide personalized styling guidance, drive sales through authentic storytelling, and maintain operational excellence on the sales floor and stockroom. This is a part-time position offering flexible scheduling at the International Plaza & Bay Street location in Tampa, Florida.
Role & Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and confidently while demonstrating comprehensive product knowledge across all Kate Spade categories
- Actively listen to customer needs and ask insightful follow-up questions to understand aesthetic and lifestyle preferences
- Provide personalized styling advice, suggest complementary products, and create complete coordinated looks
- Showcase multiple ways to wear products using creativity and encourage customers to explore new styles and express their personal aesthetic
- Guide customers through purchase decisions and ensure a seamless, professionally executed checkout experience
- Reinforce and celebrate customer choices while inviting them to return and building long-term brand loyalty
- Drive sales results through strong customer connections, authentic storytelling, and deep knowledge of brand heritage and product attributes
- Maintain operational excellence including stockroom organization, merchandising, and accurate POS transactions
- Demonstrate flexibility in work schedule to meet business needs, including nights, weekends, and peak retail periods
- Lift, climb, bend, kneel, and maneuver the sales floor and stockroom as required
Qualifications
- Professional selling skills with exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities
- Prior experience working in a retail environment
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work collaboratively within a team setting
- Social media awareness and willingness to learn omnichannel and virtual selling techniques
- English proficiency
- Ability to lift at least 25 lbs. regularly and up to 50 lbs. occasionally
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, public holidays, and busy seasonal periods
- Demonstrated commitment to understanding and meeting both internal and external customer expectations

Experience
Prior experience in a retail environment, preferably in fashion, accessories, or lifestyle goods sectors.
Education
