Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver elevated, personalized client service consistent with Kate Spade’s brand standards, converting interactions into sustained client relationships.
- Proactively manage a curated clientele through clienteling activities, CRM updates and tailored follow-up to maximise repeat business and average transaction value.
- Achieve and exceed individual and store sales targets through consultative selling, cross-selling and effective use of merchandising techniques.
- Execute visual merchandising and floor presentation directives to maintain brand aesthetics and drive product discoverability.
- Process transactions accurately and efficiently using point-of-sale systems; manage returns, exchanges and customer inquiries with discretion.
- Support inventory control procedures, including stock replenishment, cycle counts and shrinkage prevention measures.
- Mentor and coach junior sales staff on product knowledge, service standards and sales techniques; deputise for store leadership as required.
- Collaborate with store management on local initiatives, events and omnichannel fulfilment (click-and-collect, ship-from-store) to enhance customer experience.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; postsecondary education in fashion, retail or business is preferred.
- Proven track record in luxury or premium retail, with measurable sales performance.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills; aptitude for cultivating long-term client relationships.
- Flexible availability including evenings, weekends and peak retail periods.
- Right to work in the United States (or applicable local jurisdiction) without employer sponsorship.
Skills
Experience
Typically 3+ years in luxury or premium retail sales with demonstrated success in client development, meeting sales KPIs and contributing to store operations. Experience mentoring peers or taking on senior individual-contributor responsibilities is preferred.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required; tertiary qualification in fashion, retail, merchandising or business is preferred.
