Kate Spade New York seeks an Assistant Store Leader in Woodbridge, Virginia to drive retail operations, team development, and sales excellence. Full-time position with competitive hourly rate.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Model Kate Spade service behaviors and selling standards; establish and maintain a high-energy, client-focused retail environment
  • Drive omni-channel and virtual selling initiatives; manage clienteling through client books, customer outreach programs, and loyalty initiatives
  • Recruit, onboard, develop, and mentor diverse retail talent; provide coaching and performance management
  • Set and track key performance indicators (traffic, conversion, UPT, AUR); coach team members to achieve sales targets and business goals
  • Own store sales plans, forecasts, and action plans to capitalize on business opportunities
  • Act as Store Leader in their absence, ensuring continuity of operations and culture
  • Champion Kate Spade's aesthetic, brand philosophy, and operating standards; execute visual directives and maintain store environment excellence
  • Oversee opening and closing procedures, cash handling, facility security, and loss prevention compliance
  • Manage staff schedules and payroll budgets; adjust staffing levels to align with business needs
  • Support inventory management, cycle counts, and shipment accuracy
  • Manage live stream shopping sessions and leverage social media trends to drive customer engagement
  • Lead customer data capture initiatives to support marketing campaigns and repeat business

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of retail management experience in fashion, lifestyle, or comparable environment
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Experience with retail management systems and point-of-sale software
  • Proven ability to analyze selling reports, identify trends, and respond with strategic action
  • Strong English language proficiency
  • Physical capability to lift at least 25 lbs regularly (up to 50 lbs occasionally), climb, bend, kneel, and navigate sales floor and stockroom
