Kate Spade in Vaughan, ON seeks an Assistant Store Leader to drive omni‑channel sales, lead the retail team, and manage store operations.
Role & Responsibilities
- Model and enforce Kate Spade service behaviours and selling standards to create a high‑energy, client‑focused retail environment.
- Drive omni‑channel and virtual selling initiatives, including clienteling, outreach, loyalty program engagement, and live stream shopping sessions.
- Coach, develop and recruit a diverse retail team; set clear goals, monitor KPIs (traffic, conversion, UPT, AUR) and manage performance to achieve targets.
- Act as Store Leader in their absence, fostering an inclusive, motivating culture and building community networks to support recruiting and brand awareness.
- Own store sales plans and forecasts, create action plans for business opportunities, and partner with corporate teams to analyse market and sell‑through data.
- Maintain brand and visual merchandising standards; execute visual directives and communicate stock and customer feedback to improve results.
- Oversee operational excellence including opening/closing procedures, cash handling, facility security, scheduling and payroll budget management.
- Support inventory management, cycle counts and shipment accuracy; ensure compliance with safety, loss prevention and company policies.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of retail management experience in fashion, lifestyle, or a comparable customer‑facing environment (combination of education and experience considered).
- Proven leadership, communication and organisational capabilities with experience coaching teams to measurable results.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook; prior experience with retail systems and POS required.
- Analytical aptitude to interpret selling reports, identify trends and implement corrective actions.
- Strong English language proficiency.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, peak seasons and public holidays; ability to lift 25 lbs regularly (up to 50 lbs occasionally).

Experience
At least 2 years of retail management experience in a fashion or lifestyle environment; a combination of relevant education and experience will be considered.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; post‑secondary education in business, retail management, merchandising or a related field preferred.
Workplace
This position is based in Vaughan, Ontario, Canada, within easy reach of Toronto.
Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from CAD 24 to CAD 34 per hour.
