Kate Spade in Vancouver seeks an Assistant Store Leader to drive omni‑channel sales, lead the team and maintain brand standards (Vancouver, BC).

Role & Responsibilities

  • Support the Store Leader to maximize store productivity and profitability through coaching, goal‑setting and operational rigor.
  • Model and enforce Kate Spade service and selling standards; lead a high‑energy, client‑focused sales floor and drive omni‑channel and virtual selling.
  • Execute clienteling activities including client books, outreach and loyalty program engagement to foster repeat business.
  • Recruit, onboard and develop diverse talent; set clear KPIs (traffic, conversion, UPT, AUR), provide performance coaching and manage underperformance.
  • Own aspects of store sales planning and forecasting; develop and implement action plans to address business opportunities and inventory trends.
  • Maintain brand and visual merchandising standards; implement visual directives and ensure an impeccable store environment.
  • Oversee operational responsibilities including opening/closing procedures, cash handling, schedule and payroll management, loss prevention and inventory accuracy.
  • Leverage digital engagement (live stream shopping, social trends) to increase traffic and client engagement.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of retail management experience in fashion, lifestyle or a comparable customer‑facing environment; combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Proven leadership and people development skills with the ability to motivate diverse teams and act as Store Leader in their absence.
  • Strong analytical capability to interpret selling reports, identify trends and translate insights into corrective action.
  • Excellent verbal communication and organizational skills; flexible availability including nights, weekends, peak seasons and public holidays.
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs regularly (up to 50 lbs occasionally) and perform routine physical tasks on the sales floor and in the stockroom.

Experience

At least 2 years of supervisory or management experience in a fashion or lifestyle retail environment, with demonstrable success in driving sales, coaching teams and managing store operations.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent required; post‑secondary education in business, retail management or a related field preferred. A combination of formal education and practical retail experience will be considered.

Workplace

This position is based in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

Compensation

The base compensation for this position ranges from CAD 25 to CAD 40 per hour.
