Kate Spade in Vancouver seeks an Assistant Store Leader to drive omni-channel sales, lead the retail team, and manage store operations.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead the sales floor by modeling Kate Spade service behaviors and high-energy client engagement; ensure consistently excellent customer experiences across in-store, omni-channel and virtual touchpoints.
  • Drive clienteling and loyalty initiatives through client books, outreach, data capture and personalised follow-up to increase repeat business and lifetime value.
  • Recruit, onboard and develop retail talent; set targets, review KPIs (traffic, conversion, UPT, AUR) and provide coaching to elevate individual and team performance.
  • Own store sales plans, forecasting and execution; create corrective action plans and partner with corporate teams to analyse market and inventory trends.
  • Maintain brand and visual standards by executing visual directives, monitoring sell-through and communicating customer feedback to merchandising teams.
  • Oversee daily retail operations including opening/closing procedures, cash handling, schedule and payroll management, loss prevention and inventory control.
  • Act as Store Leader in their absence, cultivate an inclusive team culture, and build local community networks to support recruiting and brand awareness.
  • Leverage social media and live-stream shopping integrations to drive engagement and incremental sales.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of retail management experience in fashion, lifestyle or a comparable environment; combination of education and experience considered.
  • Proven leadership with strong communication, coaching and organisational capabilities.
  • Demonstrable ability to analyse selling reports, identify trends and translate insights into actions to drive sales.
  • Experience with recruiting, performance management and developing diverse teams.
  • Ability to work a flexible retail schedule including nights, weekends, peak season and public holidays.
  • Physical capability to lift regularly up to 25 lbs (occasionally up to 50 lbs) and to manoeuvre the sales floor and stockroom.

Experience

At least 2 years of frontline retail management experience within fashion, lifestyle or a closely related retail environment with responsibility for sales targets, team coaching and operational management.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in business, retail management or a related discipline preferred. A combination of relevant education and demonstrable retail experience will be considered.

Workplace

This position is based in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

Compensation

The base compensation for this position ranges from CAD 25 to CAD 40 per hour.
