Kate Spade seeks an Assistant Store Leader in Southaven, Mississippi to drive retail excellence, team development, and omni-channel sales leadership.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Model Kate Spade service behaviors and selling standards; lead a high-energy, client-focused sales floor environment
  • Drive omni-channel and virtual selling initiatives; ensure clienteling through client books, proactive outreach, and loyalty program engagement
  • Empower the team to personalize client experiences and resolve customer issues effectively
  • Lead customer data capture efforts to support marketing initiatives and repeat business generation
  • Recruit, onboard, and develop diverse talent; provide coaching and address underperformance
  • Set clear sales goals, review key performance indicators (traffic, conversion, UPT, AUR), and coach team members to results
  • Act as Store Leader during their absence; foster an inclusive, motivating team culture
  • Build community networks to support recruiting efforts and enhance brand awareness
  • Own store sales plans and forecasts; develop and execute action plans to capitalize on business opportunities
  • Inspire the team to exceed performance standards across all selling channels
  • Partner with corporate teams to analyze market data and optimize sales strategies
  • Champion Kate Spade's aesthetic and brand philosophy; maintain brand and operating standards throughout the store
  • Execute visual merchandising directives and ensure an impeccable, on-brand store environment
  • Communicate sell-through data, stock trends, and customer feedback to drive continuous improvement
  • Oversee opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and facility security
  • Manage staff schedules and payroll budgets; adjust staffing levels to align with business needs
  • Ensure compliance with all policies, safety standards, and loss prevention protocols
  • Support inventory management, cycle counts, and shipment accuracy
  • Manage live stream shopping sessions and leverage social media trends to drive customer engagement

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of retail management experience in fashion, lifestyle, or comparable luxury environment
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Experience with retail management systems
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze selling reports, identify trends, and react quickly to market opportunities
  • Strong English language proficiency
  • Physical capability to lift at least 25 lbs regularly (up to 50 lbs occasionally), and to climb, bend, kneel, and maneuver across sales floor and stockroom
