Kate Spade New York seeks an Assistant Store Leader in Rocky View County, Alberta. Lead retail operations, drive sales, and develop team talent. $25–$31/hr CAD.
Role & Responsibilities
- Model Kate Spade service behaviors and selling standards; establish a high-energy, client-focused environment on the sales floor
- Drive omni-channel and virtual selling strategies; implement clienteling through client books, targeted outreach, and loyalty program engagement
- Empower team members to personalize customer experiences and resolve issues effectively; lead customer data capture initiatives to support marketing and repeat business
- Recruit, onboard, and develop diverse talent; provide coaching, manage performance, and foster an inclusive, motivating culture
- Set clear performance goals, review KPIs (traffic, conversion, UPT, AUR), and coach the team to results
- Act as Store Leader during absences; build community networks to support recruiting and brand awareness
- Own store sales plans and forecasts; create action plans to address business opportunities and inspire the team to exceed standards
- Partner with corporate teams to analyze market data, optimize strategies, and communicate sell-through and stock trends
- Champion Kate Spade's aesthetic and visual standards; execute visual directives and maintain an impeccable store environment
- Oversee opening and closing procedures, cash handling, facility security, and compliance with loss prevention standards
- Manage team schedules and payroll budgets; adjust staffing to align with business needs
- Support inventory management, cycle counts, and shipment accuracy; manage live stream shopping sessions and leverage social media trends
Qualifications
- 2+ years of retail management experience in fashion, lifestyle, or comparable luxury environment
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; experience with retail management systems
- Demonstrated ability to analyze selling reports, identify trends, and respond quickly to market changes
- Strong English language proficiency
- Ability to lift at least 25 lbs. regularly (up to 50 lbs. occasionally); capability to climb, bend, kneel, and navigate sales floor and stockroom
- Flexibility to work variable schedules including nights, weekends, peak seasons, and public holidays
Skills
Experience
2+ years of retail management experience in fashion, lifestyle, or comparable retail environment. Experience with omni-channel sales strategies, team leadership, and client relationship management preferred.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; a combination of education and relevant retail management experience will be considered.

This position is based in Rocky View County, Alberta, Canada, within easy reach of Calgary.
Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from CAD 25 to CAD 31 per hour.
