Kate Spade New York seeks an Assistant Store Leader in Portsmouth to drive sales, lead retail operations, and develop team talent. £30,000–£35,000 annually.
Role & Responsibilities
- Model Kate Spade service behaviors and selling standards; lead a client-focused, high-energy sales environment
- Drive omni-channel and virtual selling initiatives; execute clienteling strategies through client books, outreach, and loyalty programs
- Empower the team to personalize customer experiences and resolve issues effectively; lead customer data capture initiatives
- Recruit, onboard, develop, and coach diverse talent; manage performance issues and provide constructive feedback
- Set clear KPIs (traffic, conversion, UPT, AUR) and coach team members to achieve sales targets
- Act as Store Leader in their absence; foster an inclusive, motivating, and authentic team culture
- Own store sales plans and forecasts; develop and execute action plans to capitalize on business opportunities
- Analyze selling reports and market data to identify trends and implement strategic adjustments
- Champion Kate Spade's aesthetic and philosophy; execute visual directives and maintain brand standards
- Oversee opening and closing procedures, cash handling, inventory management, and facility security
- Manage staff schedules and payroll budgets; adjust staffing levels to align with business needs
- Ensure compliance with all policies, safety standards, and loss prevention protocols
- Manage live stream shopping sessions and leverage social media trends to drive engagement and customer acquisition
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of retail management experience in fashion, lifestyle, or comparable environment
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Experience with retail management systems and point-of-sale platforms
- Demonstrated ability to analyze selling reports and identify market trends
- Strong English language proficiency
