Kate Spade New York seeks Assistant Store Leader in North Charleston, SC. Lead retail team, drive sales, and uphold brand excellence in luxury lifestyle retail.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Model Kate Spade service behaviors and selling standards; establish and maintain a high-energy, client-focused sales floor environment
  • Drive omni-channel and virtual selling initiatives; leverage client books, personalized outreach, and loyalty programs to ensure clienteling excellence
  • Recruit, onboard, and develop diverse retail talent; provide constructive coaching and manage performance gaps
  • Set clear performance goals and review KPIs (traffic conversion, units-per-transaction, average-unit-retail); coach team members to results
  • Act as Store Leader in their absence; foster an inclusive, motivating culture and build internal community networks for recruiting
  • Own store sales plans and forecasts; create and execute action plans to capitalize on business opportunities across all selling channels
  • Champion Kate Spade's aesthetic and brand philosophy; execute visual directives and maintain brand and operating standards
  • Oversee daily operations including opening/closing procedures, cash handling, facility security, and compliance with loss prevention standards
  • Manage staff schedules and payroll budgets; adjust staffing levels to align with business needs and seasonal fluctuations
  • Support inventory management, cycle counts, and shipment accuracy; communicate sell-through and stock trends to corporate teams
  • Manage live-stream shopping sessions and leverage social media trends to drive customer engagement and brand awareness

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of retail management experience in fashion, lifestyle, or comparable luxury environment
  • Proven ability to recruit, onboard, and develop diverse talent
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency in analyzing selling reports, identifying trends, and executing tactical responses
  • Experience with omni-channel selling and customer data capture systems
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, peak seasons, and public holidays
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs regularly (up to 50 lbs occasionally) and navigate sales floor and stockroom environments
