Kate Spade New York seeks Assistant Store Leader in Rockefeller Center, New York. Lead retail operations, sales, and team development in fashion retail management role.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Model Kate Spade service behaviors and selling standards; lead a high-energy, client-focused environment on the sales floor
  • Drive omni-channel and virtual selling initiatives; ensure clienteling through client books, outreach campaigns, and loyalty program engagement
  • Recruit, onboard, and develop diverse talent; provide coaching to team members and manage underperformance effectively
  • Act as Store Leader in their absence; foster an inclusive, motivating culture and build community networks to support recruiting
  • Own store sales plans and forecasts; create action plans to address business opportunities and inspire the team to exceed performance standards
  • Oversee opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and facility security; manage schedules and payroll budgets
  • Maintain Kate Spade brand and operating standards; execute visual merchandising directives and ensure an impeccable store environment
  • Support inventory management, cycle counts, and shipment accuracy; communicate sell-through and stock trends to corporate partners
  • Manage live stream shopping sessions and leverage social media trends to drive customer engagement and sales

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of retail management experience in fashion, lifestyle, or comparable environment (combination of education and experience considered)
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; experience with retail management systems
  • Ability to analyze selling reports, identify trends, and react quickly to market shifts
  • Strong English language proficiency
  • Physical capability to lift at least 25 lbs regularly (up to 50 lbs occasionally), to climb, bend, kneel, and navigate sales floor and stockroom
