Role & Responsibilities

  • Model Kate Spade service behaviors and selling standards; lead a high-energy, client-focused environment on the sales floor
  • Drive omni-channel and virtual selling initiatives; ensure robust clienteling through client books, outreach, and loyalty program management
  • Empower team members to personalize customer experiences and resolve issues effectively; lead customer data capture to support marketing and repeat business
  • Recruit, onboard, and develop diverse talent; provide targeted coaching and manage underperformance with professionalism
  • Set clear performance goals and review KPIs (traffic, conversion, units per transaction, average unit retail); coach team to exceed targets
  • Act as Store Leader during their absence; foster an inclusive, motivating culture that celebrates authenticity
  • Own store sales plans and forecasts; create action plans to capitalize on business opportunities and market trends
  • Champion Kate Spade's brand aesthetic and philosophy; maintain visual directives and ensure an impeccable store environment
  • Oversee opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and facility security; manage schedules and payroll budgets
  • Ensure compliance with policies, safety standards, and loss prevention protocols; support inventory management and shipment accuracy
  • Manage live stream shopping sessions and leverage social media trends to drive engagement and brand awareness
  • Build community networks to support recruiting efforts and enhance brand awareness

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of retail management experience in fashion, lifestyle, or comparable environments (combination of education and experience will be considered)
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; demonstrated experience with retail management systems
  • Ability to analyze selling reports, identify trends, and react with agility to changing business conditions
  • Strong English language proficiency
  • Ability to lift at least 25 lbs regularly (up to 50 lbs occasionally); capacity to climb, bend, kneel, and maneuver sales floor and stockroom effectively
