Role & Responsibilities
- Model Kate Spade service behaviors and selling standards; lead a high-energy, client-focused sales floor environment
- Drive omni-channel and virtual selling initiatives; maintain clienteling through client books, outreach, and loyalty programs
- Empower team members to personalize customer experiences and resolve issues effectively
- Lead customer data capture initiatives to support marketing efforts and repeat business generation
- Recruit, onboard, and develop diverse talent; provide coaching and manage performance gaps
- Set clear performance goals, monitor KPIs (traffic, conversion, units per transaction, average unit retail), and coach team to results
- Act as Store Leader in their absence; foster an inclusive and motivating workplace culture
- Build community networks to support recruiting and brand awareness initiatives
- Own store sales plans and forecasts; create action plans to address business opportunities
- Inspire team to exceed performance standards across all selling channels
- Partner with corporate teams to analyze market data and optimize strategies
- Champion Kate Spade's aesthetic and philosophy; maintain brand and operating standards
- Execute visual directives and ensure an impeccable store environment
- Communicate sell-through trends, stock movements, and customer feedback to improve results
- Oversee opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and facility security
- Manage schedules and payroll budgets; adjust staffing levels to meet business needs
- Ensure compliance with policies, safety standards, and loss prevention protocols
- Support inventory management, cycle counts, and shipment accuracy processes
- Manage live stream shopping sessions and leverage social media trends to drive customer engagement
Qualifications
- 2+ years of retail management experience in fashion, lifestyle, or comparable environment
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Experience with retail point-of-sale and management systems
- Ability to analyze selling reports, identify trends, and react quickly to market changes
- Strong English language proficiency
- Ability to lift at least 25 lbs. regularly (up to 50 lbs. occasionally)
- Ability to climb, bend, kneel, and maneuver sales floor and stockroom areas
- Flexible schedule availability to work nights, weekends, peak seasons, and public holidays
Skills
Experience
2+ years of retail management experience in fashion, lifestyle, or comparable retail environment. A combination of relevant education and experience will be considered.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required; college education preferred.

This position is based in Kittery, Maine, USA, within easy reach of Portland.
Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 18.50 to USD 31.50 per hour.
