Kate Spade New York seeks an Assistant Store Leader in Katy, Texas to lead retail operations, manage team performance, and drive sales through omni-channel excellence.
Role & Responsibilities
- Model Kate Spade service behaviors and selling standards; establish and maintain a high-energy, client-focused sales environment
- Drive omni-channel and virtual selling; execute clienteling through client books, targeted outreach, and loyalty program engagement
- Recruit, onboard, coach, and develop diverse retail talent; provide constructive feedback and manage performance to targets
- Own store sales plans and forecasts; create action plans to address business opportunities and drive performance across all selling channels
- Set and review KPIs (traffic, conversion, units per transaction, average unit retail); coach associates to achieve targets
- Oversee opening and closing procedures, cash handling, facility security, and payroll budget management
- Maintain brand and visual standards; execute visual directives and ensure impeccable store environment and compliance with operating procedures
- Support inventory management, cycle counts, and shipment accuracy; analyze sell-through and stock trends
- Lead customer data capture initiatives to support marketing and repeat business; empower team to resolve issues effectively
- Manage live stream shopping sessions and leverage social media trends to drive engagement and brand awareness
Qualifications
- 2+ years of retail management experience in fashion, lifestyle, or comparable environment
- Demonstrated leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; hands-on experience with retail management systems
- Ability to analyze selling reports, identify trends, and react quickly to market conditions
- Strong English language proficiency
- Physical capability to lift regularly up to 25 lbs. (occasionally up to 50 lbs.); ability to climb, bend, kneel, and maneuver throughout sales floor and stockroom
Skills
Experience
2+ years of retail management experience in fashion, lifestyle, or comparable retail environments; demonstrated success in team leadership, sales performance, and operational management.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; college education or equivalent work experience considered.

The successful candidate will be located in Katy, Texas, USA, with easy access to Houston.
Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 18.50 to USD 31.50 per hour.
