Role & Responsibilities
- Model Kate Spade service behaviors and selling standards; lead a high-energy, client-focused environment on the sales floor
- Drive omni-channel and virtual selling capabilities; ensure clienteling through client books, outreach, and loyalty programs
- Empower team members to personalize customer experiences and resolve issues effectively
- Lead customer data capture initiatives to support marketing campaigns and repeat business
- Recruit, onboard, and develop diverse talent; provide coaching and manage underperformance
- Set clear performance goals, review key performance indicators (traffic, conversion, units per transaction, average unit retail), and coach team members to achieve results
- Act as Store Leader in their absence and foster an inclusive, motivating team culture
- Own store sales plans and forecasts; create action plans to address business opportunities and market gaps
- Inspire the team to exceed performance standards across all selling channels
- Partner with corporate teams to analyze market data and optimize merchandising and sales strategies
- Champion Kate Spade's aesthetic and philosophy; maintain brand and operating standards across all touchpoints
- Execute visual merchandising directives and ensure an impeccable store environment
- Communicate sell-through, stock trends, and customer feedback to drive continuous improvements
- Oversee opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and facility security protocols
- Manage schedules and payroll budgets; adjust staffing levels to meet business needs
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and loss prevention standards
- Support inventory management, cycle counts, and shipment accuracy
- Manage live stream shopping sessions and leverage social media trends to drive customer engagement
Qualifications
- 2+ years of retail management experience in fashion, lifestyle, or comparable environment
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Experience with retail point-of-sale systems and analytics platforms
- Ability to analyze selling reports, identify trends, and react quickly to market conditions
- Strong English language proficiency
- Ability to lift at least 25 lbs. regularly (up to 50 lbs. occasionally)
- Ability to climb, bend, kneel, and maneuver sales floor and stockroom environments
- Willingness to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, peak seasons, and public holidays
